Menlo Velo is committed to the cycling community whether you are a racer, casual weekend cyclist, or bicycle commuter. The important thing is that you are on your bicycle. We are a small old-school bicycle shop that specializes in customer service and we take great pride in the quality of our work.

Meet our Team
|Rainer is our fearless leader and owner of Menlo Velo since 1995.|
Rainer has amassed quite the collection of bicycles after becoming fully entrenched into the cycling industry.
Proud father of a UCSB graduate who now attends law school in Sacramento.
Favorite style of bike: "Groad" or gravel road bikes.
This is Zoey, she is a dog. More Specifically, she is Rainer's dog.
She hangs out at the shop relatively often, and she is super friendly.
Sometimes Zoey can feel a little lonely here at the shop, feel free to stop by and give her some scratches.
Your dogs are welcome here as well!
|Christian has been our personal bike wizard/magician/guru/ service specialist since 2008.|
He loves road and cyclocross and joins The Noon Ride whenever he's not wrenching.
Favorite bike: Specialized Roubaix with Ultegra Di2, 11-42t Cassette, and Specialized 321 rear carbon disc wheel.
Michael is a proud burn survivor, and certified bike hoarder.
Self-proclaimed "Fixie Kid".
His first job was at a bike shop right out of high school, and he's worked at a bike shop ever since.
Favorite style of bike: Single speeds and anything with flat handlebars. Baskets and racks are a plus!
Alex was born the year Rainer took over Menlo Velo, it took 23 years to find his way here.
Corn/Tortilla chip aficionado.
A Stanford graduate and former President/Captain of the Stanford Triathlon Team.
Favorite bike: Specialized Allez (as pictured) equipped with Sram RED components fondly named Summer. Alex says he will NEVER get rid of this bike!
